Thank you for the overwhelming interest in our panel discussion! Registration for in-person seating is full! Standing room will be available for overflow.

The panel discussion and Q&A session will be available via livestream for those who are unable to join us in person. Please click on the video shown here. The video will begin at 6:30 pm, at the start of the discussion.


Art Gallery Reception 4-6 pm

There will be an art gallery reception at the Mebane Arts & Community Center from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday, October 10.

Panel Discussion 6:30-7 pm

Learn more about Odell and Joe Thompson’s legacy—and the nature of change and continuity in American country music—at our panel discussion, hosted by Rhiannon Giddens, Glenn Hinson, and Justin Robinson, starting at 6:30 pm.

Community Square Dance & Frolic 7:30-9:30 pm

Join us at our community square dance! The Blue Star Travelers, a North Carolina string band, will provide live music on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Mebane Arts & Community Center, beginning at 7:30 pm. Enjoy square and circle dances led by Ruth Pershing and special guests, including the fabulous Cane Creek Cloggers!
